For AI agents: the complete documentation index is available at https://a3s-lab.github.io/UI/v0.4.1/en/llms.txt, the full documentation bundle is available at https://a3s-lab.github.io/UI/v0.4.1/en/llms-full.txt, and this page is available as Markdown at https://a3s-lab.github.io/UI/v0.4.1/en/components/timeline.md.

Timeline

Timeline orders durable operations, deployments, and semantic Agent events without prescribing application state management.

Live preview
  1. Execution accepted

    Conversation and exact Agent release were recorded.

  2. Provider running

    A3S Code is emitting ordered semantic events.

  3. Evidence pending

    Terminal evidence appears after the provider completes.

Usage

Import the full style bundle, or compose Timeline with the components used by each entry.

@import "tailwindcss";
@import "@a3s-lab/ui/a3s.css";
<ol class="timeline" aria-label="Execution history">
  <li data-state="success">
    <article class="item" data-variant="outline">…</article>
  </li>
  <li data-state="active" aria-current="step">
    <article class="item" data-variant="outline">…</article>
  </li>
</ol>

Parameters

APIValuesPurpose
class="timeline"RequiredOrdered timeline root
data-markerShort text or numberReplaces the dot with a compact marker
data-stateactive, success, warning, dangerSemantic marker color
aria-current="step"Native ARIAIdentifies the current step and uses the active treatment

States and variants

Map domain statuses to the four semantic states in the host application. Do not expose every backend status as a styling API. Omit data-state for neutral or future events, and use text or a Badge so color is never the only status signal.

Accessibility

Use <ol> when order matters and <time datetime="…"> for timestamps. Keep the current state explicit with aria-current="step". Timeline is CSS-only; focus, selection, and live announcements remain the host application's responsibility.
